Housing crisis in 90291

Housing crisis in 90291

by Lydia Ponce

The campaign of grifting gangsters, the greedy ones who salivate on the possibility of land grabbing and land thieving. The plan to deregulate the environmental protections is fully lobbied and paid for to gas-light everyone who is against deregulation. We stand against the protections CEQA provides. The grifter gangs have their script down and will dare to call people out in public – “oh, you’re not for affordable housing… no.” Where the fk were all these pilgrims in the last 30 years?

Keep asking them, “Affordable homes built within the coast, define affordable…define it! Extremely low, very low and low income? Not the neighborhood median income, correct?” They fail to respond or answer, grifting gangsters struck with convenient amnesia and selective listening.

So here you go, a serving of ridickulous. I wrote, I said it, I know it and I mean it. Social Media videos recently post children’s lawn play housing as a joke, the punch line, it’s the new market for tiny homes.

Take your newbie kook lies back into your gullet and wipe your $alivating dripping mouth and close it. Ssshhhhut it. See you in the general public comment… when the local government agencies pretend to listen and care.

Here’s my public comment 12/14/23 and I added a wee bit more:

Land grab,

land theft.

From California Coast to:

Louisiana

Puerto Rico

Honduras –

Lahaina

Gaza

Yucatán

Acapulco

Beach front properties, resources and gentrifkation, land theft. No streamlining any California Coastal Development permits … no streamlining anything, ever.

Where’s the tribal consultation and tribal consent???

Far too many Indigenous people do not have land. This colonial settler superiority complex that lobbies to deregulate the environment, erase environmental protections. Venice has demanded housing solutions for over 30 years and counting, this did not result ever, in working together to create beachside communities coexisting with the ocean… our coast.

Deregulation of the protections of the coast within the Trojan horse labeled affordable housing is a campaign of economic elite land grab – it’s a ruse.Affordable units to whom? Affordable to whom??? Affordablity not measured by the local neighborhood median income….

Too many off site replacement units never built – 30 years – as promised – I’ve witness the support & the permits granted via VNC, VNC LUPC, LACITY

PLANNING AND CALIF COASTAL COMM., – where are the offsite units??? You know, the ones never built?

AFFORDABLE is not a word to be redefined by untraceable mystery LLCs, not the governor, and not lobbyists. Affordable is not redefined for profit margins

and future investment. Affordable must be defined with declarations of altruism, honesty, and must be humane. Affordable must be very low income and low income.

No deregulation of environmental protections – ever for anything! No deregulation of environmental protections- ever including investment and developer enthusiasts – name as affordable housing! Pilgrim colonist settlers pretending to care for 2 minutes during a general public comment before the California Coastal Commission, CCC. The CCC must protect, defend and honor the coast, the Coastal ACT and our public access.
